I’m Mugunth Kumar (MK), an engineering leader with 20+ years of experience in software architecture, design, and development. I live in Melbourne, Australia, and bring a global perspective to technology leadership.

I build purpose-driven technology that creates real social impact. I’m a polyglot engineer who picks the right language and stack for the right problem — I’ve shipped production systems in Python, Rust, Go, TypeScript, Kotlin, and Swift. My internationally-translated programming books (h-index: 35) reflect the same skill I apply as a leader: understanding where an engineer is, meeting them there, and accelerating them to productivity.

Most recently as CTO of Pink Cloud, I led the Australian expansion of an evidence-based addiction recovery platform, building strategic partnerships with the University of Melbourne, Monash University, and Turning Point (Australia’s leading addiction research centre).

I’m the founder of MindKraft Studios Group, where I’m building Nool (read.nool.au) — “Where Scrolling Seeds Wisdom” — a reading companion platform with semantic book discovery powered by vector embeddings — a capability absent from competitors like Goodreads and StoryGraph. By predicting your next read based on your highlights, reviews, and reading patterns, Nool transforms scrolling from mindless consumption into mindful learning.
